General Ledger - Accounts

The chart of accounts. Most accounts come from Adilas.biz itself: each bank, location petty cash, expense and deposit type, balance sheet item and special line has its own account, and the ledger adds the system accounts (receivables, inventory, payables, sales tax, payroll liabilities and so on).

  • Renumber any account. Rename, retype or deactivate the accounts you added.
  • Cash flow statement: where an asset, liability or equity account belongs (operating, investing, financing, or counted as cash). Counting an account as cash, or no longer, makes the cash flow amounts work themselves out again (the next statement or the nightly update; about a minute on a large ledger).
  • Posts its lines to: send an expense or deposit type's lines to another account, for example owner draws to equity, or payroll tax deposits to the payroll liabilities.
  • 280E and tax lines: how an expense is treated under 280E, and where each account goes on the business tax return.
